The history of the brand Carrera® began 1950 in Mexico when the Pan-American highway was inaugurated with the auto race „Carrera Panamericana“ ('carrera' being Spanish for race).
When Hans Herrmann won a sensational third place with his Porsche 550 Spyder in 1954, all sportive models produced by the company in Zuffenhausen were named „Carrera“, and the name became a byword for quality and stylish design.
In the 90’s Lutter & Partner GmbH introduced and established the brand in the small electrical appliances market. Over the years, the awareness of the brand has grown among both men and women worldwide. For consumers Carrera® stands for values such as reliability, dynamics, sportive aestethic, individuality and high performance.

Epilady®
The Epilady® brand emerged in the 80’s when the world’s first epilator revolutionized hair removal for women.
Not only has Epilady® been internationally renowned for over 20 years, it is actually synonymous for epilation in many countries.
Lutter & Partner immediately recognized this innovation and in 1986, introduced the first epilator to the German market under the brand name Epilady®.
Constant technical development has ensured a product that is quite simply more effective than other hair removal systems. Soft & gentle epilation meand that women have increasingly come to trust the brand.
Today, many women cannot imagine life without an epilator. Over 30 million products sold worldwide, as well as numerous awards, are a clear indication of the success of the Epilady® brand.
Céline by Carrera®
In 2006 Lutter & Partner GmbH identified a new target group. With a rapidly growing adolescent community, the brand Céline by Carrera® was created and launched a year later.
New products were developed with appealing designs and a colour scheme which targets young women and those young-at-heart. Sassy, cool, modern and colourful - these are the brand values.
To support the brand visually, Lutter & Partner created Céline, a virtual charachter who appeals especially to girls and young women aspiring to individuality, independence and their own style..Through this innovation Céline by Carrera® has great potential.
Carrera® - i-shave®, i-style®. i-trim® and i-cut®
The names i-shave®, i-style®, i-trim® and i-cut® stand for products that are in step with the current trend, reflecting "zeitgeist" perfectly in regards to function, design and colour.
With the design concept „4ward“ these names were launched in 2007 and turned out a great success. „4ward“ is now seen as the pioneer for the development of future series by Lutter & Partner GmbH.
